  • Reporting to Process and Technology Manager, based in Florian am Inn, Austria
  • Due to continued growth and increase in production, we are looking for an experience and hands on engineer who is looking to implement new ideas and establish POR of production of our AR technology
  • This is an opportunity to be part of a small but dynamic team who are responsible for running the manufacturing at our partners site, focussing on development of manufacturing processes and pilot lines of new designs
  • You will be working with the state-of-the-art equipment, developing and improving production of our waveguide technology ready to transfer into mass production which is managed by our manufacturing team in China
  • You will be responsible for the technical delivery of WO fabricated components using Nano-Imprint Lithography (NIL)
  • You will lead and contribute to process development and optimisation of this technology considering yield & NPI
  • Tool finger printing and up-keeping of the manufacturing processes
  • The role is working closely with our UK office where our design team are based
  • As we are a global company there will be some requirements to work out of core hours, so we are looking for someone who is flexible about this
  • There may be a small amount of travel within Europe to our suppliers (approximately 20%)


  • Strong MSc or higher-level degree in MEMS, Cleanroom Technology or Materials or Photonics
  • 3+ years’ experience/background in product or process engineering in a semiconductor fab
  • 3+ Experience working in a clean room and manufacturing/production environment
  • Hands on experience with using metrology tools
  • Previous experience in DoE, Data Analysis and Reporting
  • Previous experience in Nano-imprint lithography or UV lithography would be an advantage
  • Proactive and can-do attitude
  • An enthusiastic engineer who can demonstrate great problem solving, communication and delivery
  • Demonstrates in-depth understanding of concepts, theories and principles
  • Strong technical background to be able to communicate across multiple disciplines
  • Good level of speaking and writing in English, German would be an advantage

Nice to have:

  • Experience with coatings, MEMS technology within PHD or in industry
  • Previous experience with Process Transfer
