The role:

  • Reporting to the HR Director, based in Abingdon, Oxfordshire
  • You will manage a payroll of up to 100 employees in the UK and also internationally (China, Austria & Taiwan) and also be responsible for managing employment-related benefit programmes
  • This is a diverse role that requires compliance around payroll processing, alongside creative thinking of how we can continue to evolve and optimise our benefit offerings across the company
  • Responsible for managing UK & international payrolls, partnering with external payroll providers and internal Finance team to ensure monthly payrolls are accurately processed
  • Ensure changes affecting monthly payroll are updated within ADP system, including all employee compensation and benefit changes
  • Interface with benefit providers to facilitate effective integration of benefit administration with internal payroll processes
  • Act as a point of contact for employees for all pay and benefit queries and proactively provide Information to employees to raise awareness of benefit offerings
  • Provide expertise and advice on the management of taxable benefits, ensuring that any new or existing benefits are handled within local taxation rules
  • Work with HR Director to manage the external benefits broker relationship and manage ongoing review of benefit offerings
  • Provide regular reporting of benefit participation, spend and optimisation opportunities
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements for payroll & related benefits, including requirements surrounding contract staff
  • Actively participate in any audit activity, including process mapping and governance of internal procedures impacting pay and benefits

What we need to see:

  • Payroll expert with broader Compensation / Benefits experience
  • Knowledge of UK tax rules and compliance required for managing UK & International payrolls
  • Experience managing multiple payroll runs simultaneously
  • Experience running international payroll and managing external International payroll partners
  • Previous experience with ADP would be an advantage
