As a Graduate Modelling Engineer, you will support research and development activities for next generation AR displays while developing your skills experience within a fast-paced start up environment

The role

  • Based in our state-of-the-art offices in Didcot, Oxforshire you will be reporting into the Head of Product capabilities.
  • You will be part of our R&D team working on future innovation and delivering products to the AR market
  • You will apply an in-house optical modelling technique for development of new product design and customisation projects
  • While supporting Senior Engineers you will get an opportunity to learn (formally and informally) to support your long-term development
  • You will correlate modelled with measured results, to improve the fidelity and predictive power of models
  • You will coordinate activities with internal technical and commercial teams to ensure delivery of deadlines are met
  • Utilise Python on a range of core activities

What we like to see

  • BSc or Masters in Theoretical Physics or Applied Mathematic
  • A background in diffractive optics or electro-magnetics modelling will give you a foundation in solving key problems 
  • You will be working in a fast-paced environment so it’s essential that you can prioritise your workload
  • Experience using Python

Bonus

  • Completed optics or engineering internship during studies
  • Experience with diffractive optics
  • Understand of polarization
  • A relative end of year project which included  scripting in Python and computational modelling aspect
