WaveOptics strengthens management team with appointment of CTO and Operations Director
London, 10 September 2018. WaveOptics, the leading designer and manufacturer of diffractive waveguides, has made two new senior appointments to strengthen and broaden its leadership team.
Phil Greenhalgh joins as Chief Technical Officer, and Gary Spencer as Operations Director. Both Phil and Gary will report to WaveOptics CEO, David Hayes and join the business’ executive team.
Phil has held a number of senior technology and engineering positions, most recently at DAQRI where he led the AR hardware engineering team, responsible for conception, design and build of market leading hardware. He has in-depth experience of developing optical components and systems.
Gary brings a wealth of experience having worked in the technology sector for over 25 years. Gary has held a wide range of operational roles, including manufacturing, global operations, and quality management. He has a proven track record of delivery across a wide range of products and services in both large multinational corporate organisations and private equity owned organisations.
David Hayes, CEO WaveOptics, commented;

As CTO, Phil Greenhalgh will be responsible for research and development, driving forwards the focus on material sciences, and developing waveguides and projector systems with higher fields of view. Gary Spencer, who joins as Operations Director, will be responsible for all aspects of our Operations, as WaveOptics expands its manufacturing capabilities across Europe and Asia.
